The Congregation of Our Lady of the Missions was founded in Lyons, France by Euphrasie Barbier on 15th August in 1861. Seized by the love of God , the spirit of devotion and service towards mankind, Euphrasie Barbier founded this
Congregation The work begun through her by the power of God, continued to be consolidated and to expand to further countries . At present, the sisters have reached out to 24 countries in the world, and work mainly among the poor, marginalized and the working class of the people of the area where they are present. After the example of their Foundress, the Sisters place themselves at God’s disposal in order to be the instruments of Universal Salvation.
The Sisters strive to proclaim the values of the Kingdom by their way of life, and by their availability to be at the serviceof the poor and the needy through various activities such as Formal and Non-formal Education, Health care, Social Service and other Mission activities.
